(EN) At the end of August, we were contacted by Suzanne Vonk, a volunteer from Holland. She is living for almost a year in Costuleni and she's conducting activities for children, parents, and grandparents at Casa Lalelelor. She noticed that the children's bikes in Costuleni are in a deplorable shape and dangerous, therefore she asked us if we could help repair some of them. She also identified another issue: the kids don't ride safely. We happily agreed on lending a hand to resolve both problems.
As a first stage, we will have a bike safety workshop and then Cristi and Alex will repair as many bikes as they can, with the children near them so they could learn some safety mechanical tricks. The activity will take place in Costuleni at Casa Lalelelor, on September 17th.
We can hardly wait to meet the children and to take a bike ride in Costuleni with Suzanne as our guide.
We are happy to help whenever we can. This is the second humanitarian project for ProBikeAddiction that focuses on bike safety for the children in the rural area, after "The first bike... on Christmas". Then we managed to gather and repair with the help of ProBikeAddiction community 47 bikes for the children in Dagata who were walking to school 8 km a day. See you soon!
